In reply to your letter No. 2691 dated the 16th April,1921 enclosing a copy of charges against me I most
the humbly and respectfully beg to state for MEF considerat- ion of His Exwelleney the officer ¿dministrating the "oy-
ernment na fallowa ! –
That the money mentioned in the charges was ob- tained, as usual practice of payment, from the countant with the singore intention to pay to their respective pay- ses on the last day of the month, but as the payees failed to come for receiving the payment until about 8,30,P.M.on not draws that particular day, the money was unavoidably left unpaid
until of later(1), with me, is it became late on the evening and the noun-
tant had left the office, I felt an uneasiness of the mind regarding the safe custody of the money owing to the fact that I had no safe places to keep the money in the office, After considering the matter for a while I decided to take the money home as the safest meɛna instend of locking it up in the wooden drawers in the office, and to bring it with me to the office the next morning.
Charge Som Safe.
